They say the cutest things

The girls got in trouble today for trashing their room. Which resulted in some things being taken away....temporarily. Emma came to me not long afterwards to let me know that it was "OK, we still love you Mommy". Sarah had to add her two cents with the following...."Mommy you don't think we love you, but we did."

So, do they love me now or DID they love me?

Those girls are crazy! (But I love them ALOT).

I've been tagged!

Destiny tagged me:

List 7 random things that people may not know about you. The rules are to link the person who sent this to you and leave a comment on their blog so their readers can visit yours. Post the rules on your blog. Share 7 facts about yourself. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, linking their blog. Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

  1. I am not a coffee drinker. I get all my caffeine intake from Diet Mt. Dew...I know they are loaded. If that is not available, I will drink Diet Dr. Pepper. However I do love Green Tea Frappuccinos from Starbucks.
  2. I apparently don't require much sleep. I never sleep an entire night through. I always wake up and stay awake for at least an hour.... explains all of my late night blogging:)
  3. In high school, I was on the varsity swim team, played piano in the jazz band, was on the percussion line and was the only girl bass drum player. (Probably a little over involved!)
  4. I always wanted to be an Egyptologist when I was growing up (go Raiders of the Lost Ark)! But that wasn't realistic and I was really into the artsy side so I majored in art...fashion design and photography.
  5. I have been a sports PR Director, an MIS tech, a graphic designer, a small religious organization's marketing director, and a photographer. I guess I like diversity. Or I have too many interests. It always runs along the artsy side though.
  6. I rarely buy my own bread. We try to eat as good as possible. So we grind our own wheat and I make our own bread from scratch. With five people, it can seem like I am baking everyday.
  7. I love genealogy. However, I haven't done any work on mine for a year now. I have traced both my family and Greg's back pretty far. I know that one of my Mom's ancestors was Pocahontas. It's history...and I love history.... old photographs, old stories, old places.
Well Destiny, I tried to come up with some not necessarily known items. In an effort not to tag people that have already been tagged, I am going to pick on the following:

I tag:
Ericka
Tricia
Melissa

Cappuccinos?

We were coming back from the country today and we let Sarah pick up a snack for her and Emma. Sarah chose two small bags of Cheetos. Of course this caused their fingers to turn orange.
Sarah wanted to know what these neat orange things were called...so I told her Cheetos.
About that time, Emma piped up and said that she "sure does like these Cappuccinos"!

Talk about misplaced words....LOL. So go out and enjoy a crunchy, orange Cappuccino. Emma says that they are great

Finally!!!!

I am finally caught up. Let's hope that I can stay that way.

Mike and Ericka

Well...I was about to say that I was caught up, but I forgot to make mention on this blog about Mike Carter. He is the husband of one of my best friends. On January 5th, he was in a near-fatal accident that has left him in a coma. They have three children together...Mike has 5 children total.

For the whole story, check out my other blog at: Mike's Journey

There are weekly updates there.

Sadie Hawkins

OK....I didn't take any pictures...well...just one of him before he left to pick up his date.
Stefan and Abby went to the Sadie Hawkins dance together this year.
Did I mention that it is hard to believe how fast time goes by?

Two new teeth

Well...almost. Emma lost her first two teeth in one week. The first one came out on Monday the 21st and the second came out on Friday the 25th. The only thing that thrilled her about the whole ordeal was the double visit from the tooth fairy.
Sarah was very disgruntled about the whole thing. She is convinced that one of her crooked teeth are actually loose and the tooth fairy will be coming very soon for a visit!

Snow day!

January 15th - Stefan is 16!!!!

~ Sweet Sixteen ~
Scary....this was the day that Stefan became a legal DRIVER!!! That's right, be careful on the roads....because he is out there now. Just kidding...I think it is more scary for me than him.

Anyway, I let Stefan take his drivers license test on his birthday, and to his great delight...he passed. Then we had a little get together at our house with just the family. Cake...ice cream...pizza..gifts...money for Stefan to put in the tank of his little car.

It is hard to believe that my baby boy is now 16! And I didn't even think about getting a picture of him holding his license....oh well.
