Stefan's bald experience
OK...so here's the story: Ken asked me last week if I could photoshop an image of Stefan to make him appear bald. I said sure...no problem. Then I filed it away in my already cluttered mind and forgot all about it.
After a hectic week and a one day turn around to Houston, Stefan comes in from church and reminds me that he needs a photo of him made bald for SNL (Sunday Night Live). Oh did I mention that he tells me this at 1:00pm and needs it by 3:00pm. And we are on our way out the door to take the homemade cake that I had just finished baking and icing over to my mother-in-law's house for her birthday. Eek! Absolutely no time to mess with photoshop.
Anyway...as much as I HATE to do photo editing or graphic design in a half way manner (I'm a little bit of a perfectionist about my work) I did a 5 minute bald job. Stefan was pleased.
So this is what a quick photo shave looks like on Stefan a.k.a. Gordo of SNL:
Believe me, I do realize how bad this looks.

Teenage crazies at the tablegroup
A couple of weekends ago Kristen, Kristy and I had a fellowship for the girls at my house. I have known this set of girls for such a long time because they are all Stefan's age. However, I was a little nervous about how the evening would go. Kristen had the idea that they would have a glam makeover night and they could take goofy photos for their myspace.

Texas Renaissance Festival
Yep...I actually took a photo of myself....something that I can't really do with my camera. Thanks to Ericka for loaning me her point and shoot.
Saturday we did the marathon Renaissance trip. We left out at 6:30 in the morning headed for Planterville, Texas. For those of you that don't know where that is.....it is just north a Houston. It is a five hour drive both ways. At any rate, all 5 of us were bound for the Texas Renaissance Festival. Fun was afoot me lords and ladies!!!
It really is much bigger than our standby old favorite...Scarborough Faire (Waxahachie, Texas). After about 4 hour we were tired, red faced, sweaty, and ready to head home. Especially since the 15 year old failed to tell us that he had several commitments on Sunday.
Let me tell you, by the time we were within two hours of the house, Sarah had every ailment in the book. Her legs hurt, her stomach hurt, she wanted to go home...and she had no problem telling us about it! By the time we arrive back at the house it was 10:30pm.....I could have kissed the ground!!!
We probably won't make that trip again soon.
