No pictures today....just a note of the passing of time. Today was the third anniversary of Dad's death. It doesn't seem like it has been so long since I last saw him or heard his voice, but sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago.
Dad passed away before Sarah even turned one. So much he has missed....
We spent the day with Mom; went out to eat and took flowers to the grave.
If you are fortunate enough to have both parents still here, take a moment to call them or go see them and let them know that you love them. You just never know when it could be your last time to see them or talk to them. Don't waste those opportunities.

Getting the hang of it
Sometimes, the day to day life can become overwhelming. Between work, kids, spouse, church and everything else one wonders how you can get anything done....and is what you're getting done good enough. Sometimes you just wonder exactly why you are doing all of this.
Trying to reorganize my life to make homeschooling into a daily part of it has taken some restructuring. Especially since I am doing preschool for Sarah and Emma. However, I am comforted in the fact that we will "get the hang of it".
I still feel that this is the best choice for my kids right now. You just can't trade this quality time with them at this age....these days....they just pass so quickly.

Preschool...Ha!
Well.....that adventure really lasted a long time. As most of you probably know by now, I decided to pull Emma out and homeschool her. It really is the best decision for us right now. And we enjoy it! Sarah has even become excited about now being at the same school as Emma! (Our kitchen table....LOL) Sarah is so funny.
I know that it might not make sense, but in many ways, home schooling is so much more flexible. You have the freedom to do so much more with your kids. Hands on stuff that the classroom environment limits.

I don't know about this
So...Emma was put on the waitlist for preschool. I really didn't think anything would come open and besides, I like having both the girls at home. Much to my surprise they called on Tuesday to tell me that there was an opening...and they were in such a hurry to fill the spot. They asked if we were still interested and I said yes without thinking. We had to rush and get paperwork filled out and get her something to where. I started dreading it last night...but today was her first day...and what can I say. I HATED IT. Emma was nervous, but she had a good time at preschool. However, I was an emotional wreck all day and Sarah was more irritable than normal.
I was secretly hoping that Emma would say that she didn't want to go back. I can admit it.....I am actually starting to reconsider home schooling. I don't know.....
Anyway, here she is on her first day.

I love this little girl so very much.

Old photos
I was cleaning out files on my computer and found these pics...and many more.
This one is the last "family" photo that we took before Dad passed away. This is actually a little over a year before he passed away...summer of 2003. You can't see her, but I am pregnant with Sarah. Dad would pass away a year later...September 23, 2004.
I know that this isn't a great quality picture...that isn't the point.
